Every artist leaves a mark. For me, that mark just happens to live on skin.
I’m Gregory “Pabby” Watkins, known to most simply as Pabby Tattooist — and for over 35 years, I’ve been living, breathing, and perfecting the art of tattooing.
Tattooing isn’t just something I do. It’s been my teacher, my passion, and in many ways, my life’s purpose.
From the early days of hand-built machines and raw experience, to traveling across the country and working in some of the best studios and conventions, I’ve watched this craft evolve — and I’ve grown with it.
The Craft That Built Me
When I started tattooing, there were no shortcuts — no social media, no filters, no easy way to “go viral.” You earned your reputation through hard work, clean lines, and respect for the skin.
Over the years, I’ve specialized in a range of styles — realism, traditional, fine-line, and paramedical tattooing — because every skin, every client, and every story demands something different.
I believe a tattoo should hold meaning, even if that meaning is just pure art. Every design I create is built with purpose, precision, and care.
Healing the Skin — and the Industry
After decades of tattooing, one thing never sat right with me: the way skin was cared for after the tattoo.
I saw too many products that protected but didn’t actually help the body heal.
So, I developed something better — and that’s how Old Pro Tattoo Aftercare was born.
Working with Royal Labs, an FDA-registered cGMP facility here in South Carolina, I helped design a medical-grade tattoo wash and lotion that truly supports skin recovery.
What started as tattoo aftercare turned into something bigger — a skin-barrier recovery system that’s now catching attention in the medical field.
It’s proof that when you love your craft enough, you end up innovating it.
